Available AC Adapters and power specifications

All orders within the United States that include power modules (AC adapters) will receive the Type 1 AC adapter intended to plug into the US 120 VAC 60hz power unless otherwise specified. For orders outside the United States, if you are ordering a LapScan, EyeScan, Advanced Tac/AudioScan or AC adapter, please specify which type adapter you desire.

Plug requirements for LapScan and EyeScan products:

The plug that inserts into the instrument is a 2.1mm x 5.5mm x 11mm circular female plug. The center or tip (inside) connection is the positive 9 volts DC with a minimum of 300ma and the outside connection is the ground (or return). We recommend a straight plug for EyeScans and a right angle plug for LapScans

Plug requirements for CATScan products:

The plug that inserts into the cordless pulsers is a 1.3mm x 5.5mm x 11mm circular female plug. The center or tip (inside) connection is the negative 5 volts DC regulated with a minimum of 2.5amps and the outside connection is the positive. The charger has a 2.5mm plug with tip positive. The "Y" charger cable supplied switches the polarity from tip positive to tip negative for the pulsers.

Plug requirements for Tac/AudioScan and Advanced Tac/AudioScan products:

The plug that inserts into the instrument is a 1.3mm x 3.5mm x 11mm circular female plug. The center or tip (inside) connection is the positive 9 volts DC with a minimum of 300ma and the outside connection is the ground (or return).


Please exercise caution. If the wrong voltage or polarity is connected, damage may occur.

An alternate solution would be to operate the LapScan or the EyeScan from battery power. The LapScan 2000 and EyeScan 4000 will operate from a 9v battery. The Advanced LapScan 4000 will operate from 6 "C" batteries. The Tac/AudioScan and Advanced Tac/AudioScan operate from 9 volt batteries.
